Jesus Is The Glory of God’s Grace

We have a love for glorious things. God is glorious, but a glory all his own, and overpowering to sinners. If he were to reveal his glory to us as we yet live in our sinful corruption we would be destroyed. How shall we ever face him if this is our situation? The answer is: His true glory is his grace to us in Christ Jesus, His glorious Son made human. Jesus came to change our situation before God by hiding his glory. On the cross he became sin for us so that by faith in him we might become the righteousness of God and able to stand in his presence and live with him forever in glory.
