“At All Times Hold Up
The Shield of Faith.”
Eph. 6:16

Poor in Ourselves; Rich in Christ

During 1st century AD, as the apostles and other Christians were spreading the Word concerning the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God’s eternal Son in sinless human form, most saw the message of Christ as a religion for the lower classes and uneducated, not a religion that was attractive in any way to the well-heeled in money and power and influence. Is it much different today? Yet we all all poor in sin. Christ brings to us the riches that save, not money, but the forgiveness of sins and eternal life through his humiliating death. He calls on Christian believers to reach both the rich and poor with his Word, and treat all people without favoritism. Come and hear this sermon based on James 2:1-7.
