A Friend in the Highest of Places

We would all like to have a friend in a high place. It called having connections with people who have connections. It doesn’t hurt. When we believe in Jesus as God’s Son, risen from the dead, and ascended to heaven, we have a friend in the very highest place: on the Throne of God. This is what the Church celebrates on Ascension Sunday. From the Throne of God, Jesus teaches truth by the Holy Spirit through the Word of God. He hears our prayers and answers them.
