The world puts a premium on one’s height. This is why no one wants to be short. But what does this matter to God? It means nothing to him, and should mean nothing to us either. God plants true height in us when he brings us to repentance so that we confess sins and he brings us to faith to trust in Jesus, his Son, our Lord and Savior. Through repentance and faith, the kingdom of God lives within us, and continues to grow to great height, which result in two blessings. 1) We receive salvation from Jesus through the faith that lives in our hearts. 2) As we grow and mature, God accomplishes his work in our lives that has nothing to do with how tall or short we are. He will do it.
