Jesus, the Living Vine

Dead in trespasses and sins, that’s the way the Bible describes us all. We are spiritually dead in the sin of Adam and Eve. Spiritual deadness is rejection of the one true God, who is God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. How shall we live again in him? The Son of God entered the world as a living vine, Jesus Christ. He came came to graft sinners into himself in order to give us the nourishing, live-giving sap of forgiveness, which he won for us on the tree of death, the cross. He who is now risen grafts us in by bringing us out of unbelief and into faith by the biblical Word of God.
