The Importance of Good Relationships

God tells us that relationships are essential for one’s spirit and psychology–good, mature, helpful relationships. The devil understands this and tries to isolate us from helpful relationships, that we might be alone with him, who seeks to destroy our spirit and psychology. Jesus has entered the world, God’s Son in human form, to enter into the best of all relationships with us. He has come to befriend sinners, isolated by sin and the devil, and reconcile us with God and heaven. What joy! He does this by speaking his Word, which can reach into any place and any heart to bring sinners like we are into a faith relationship with him, and keep us in the relationship. You are invited to read the sermon on this topic, “There’s Someone I’d Like You to Meet,” based on John 1:29-41.
