Stand Firm On Jesus

We fallen human beings have many fatal flaws. One of them is this: we fix our gaze worldly things and are easily impressed by them. Such a gaze can be fatal if we allow worldly things to become the basis of our salvation hope. Only Jesus is truly impressive–impressive in his love and power, and basis of true hope. He came from heaven–God in human form–and allowed himself to crucified. No one considered this impressive when he suffered and died, but oh, what it achieved! The forgiveness of sins and salvation for all sinners who are given faith to look upon him as the basis of hope. He who died, rose again, and ascended to heaven is coming back on the Last Day! What a sight that will be! Let us continue to look to him and stand upon him until he comes, even if the whole world rejects him. On that day Christian believers will be saved.
