God is love. Do we appreciate what this really means for our lives? Simply, it means everything. If God is not love, then we would have no Savior to save us from our lack of love for God and neighbor. But God is love, and we do have a Savior: God the Father sent his Son into world in human form, Jesus Christ. Jesus put his love of display during his ministry, which fully blossomed at the cross, where he died for our sins and all sins. His love is so powerful that it comes to live in the hearts of believers and overflows in our lives as we strive to love one another as his disciples.
