We all want to be gifted in some way. But, in our sin, we want to be known for that gift, and receive accolades for it. But the Lord reminds us that the gifts we are given are to be used to glorify him as we serve our neighbor. To put it another way: The Lord would have us use our gifts in love for others. Though we fall short of doing so in sin, the love of the Lord Jesus saves us, the only love that can. His love is his greatest gift to us. In love, he laid down his life, and all his gifts, unto death, that we might be saved by faith in him. Come and hear this sermon based on 1 Corinthians 12:27-13:8.
