Being Salt and Light

As Christians, the Lord Jesus has redeemed you and chosen you and called you to repentance and faith. You are saved from the decay, death and darkness of your sin and of this world because of this. You are now citizens of salt and light in the kingdom of heaven. Never forget who you are, and your purpose then, even as you sojourn here for awhile in this decaying, dark world! God makes use of your witness as salt and light to deliver chosen sinners just like you into his heavenly kingdom.
