Natural eyesight isn’t always perfect. Some are born with poor eyesight. Others age “gracefully” into poor eyesight. Some are born blind, or become blind. Poor eyesight has its consequences: we can’t see things are they are in the physical world. Now, how is your spiritual eyesight, that is, how do you see Jesus? Do you see God in him? Do you see humanity in him? Do you see him, that is, believe in him as he is, the God-man? Today is the day of your salvation in him through this faith! As you wait on him to return on the Last Day in glory, be confident that you will stand in the judgment, even as the sun, moon, and stars fall from the sky: He died for you and rose again from death for you, the God-man. He will receive you to himself on that day. You are invited to read the sermon titled, “Do You See Him As He Is?” based on Matthew 24:29-31.
