“At All Times Hold Up
The Shield of Faith.”
Eph. 6:16

Mobilized by Godly Contentment

Martin Luther said, “When things are going well, a man cannot control himself by means of his own powers; he becomes presumptuous, prides himself on his wealth and good fortune, and passes away.” Such is the reality of our sinful nature, prideful in self, and in earthly wealth and we cannot help ourselves. But we pass away. God would not have us pass away, not from his presence, but live forever with him in his kingdom. So he had sent us true humility and truly wealth in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. Jesus came, in humility, to shed his priceless blood, to save us from our sins, and provide us eternal life. To believe in him is to have all things, even when we have nothing at all.”  You are invited to read the sermon on this topic, “Mobilized by Godly Contentment,” based on 1 Timothy 6:6-16.
