Jesus Knocks Down Walls

We can all admit it. We build walls inside our hearts as a form of protection. We do this against God, so that he will not expose us. This is the wall of unbelief. Yet Jesus, God’s Son, came to knock down the wall. He did so by exposing himself to judgment in our place at the cross. In this we find hope. As God leads us to confess our sins openly to him, he also gives us the faith to look to Jesus’ cross. In it, our fears of judgment are taken away. A sermon based on Luke 19:41-48
